North: It's Radical Islam, stupid!

Excellent piece today in FoxNews.com online by Col. Oliver North, describing the lefitst media's agenda-driven coverage of the latest UK Islamic terrorist actions:

It's a shame that Ollie even has to explain this; a travesty of socialism-driven reportage in supposedly 'western' media. How is it leftists can keep ignoring Islamic terrorism? BECAUSE ANY TOOL SOCIALISTS CAN USE TO DESTROY FREE MARKET CAPITALISM IS GOOD WITH THEM. "The enemy of my enemy" and all that. Both the socialists and the terrorists 'know' they'll destroy the other when the time is right. (If not for my faith in freedom-loving citizens in the US, UK, Australia, etc., my money would be on the terrorists in their eventual showdown with legacy media. But we'll protect the leftists too, although most of them certainly could use a beating or two.)

Islamists nod and wink, and do their bloody-minded, depraved best to kill all westerners, and any less 'enthusiastic' muslims who might get in the way. So-called journalists reciprocate by running free public-relations campaigns for the murderers - even to the point of spinning obvious child murders into 'heroic resistance by "insurgents" or "militants"'. Here's a first-hand account of al Queda's insidious, child murdering tactics, their barbaric Islam-justified atrocities laid bare.

But not one peep from leftist media. Fox News at least linked an article on their site to Michael Yon's piece, although you had to hunt for it. Not one leftist journo has since showed up to verify the facts, not one bleeding heart for truly innocent Iraqi blood. If I didn't despise leftist media before, this alone would do it.

In Col. North's opinion piece he mentions legacy media's agenda - attempting to force the Coalition from Iraq, and even Afghanistan. Old media knows what happens when a population gets a taste of true freedom - it utterly destroys any chance for socialism. The leftists have to stop Iraq before it succeeds, as it absolutely will. The net effect of leftist media's pro-jihadi campaign is to extend and maximize the bloodshed, just like they did in Vietnam 30 years ago.

Should they be successful, again just like in Vietnam, they will simply ignore the mass murder and atrocities that will surely follow as Islamic mafias backed by Iran, Syria, and Saudi Arabia will fight to the death for sway. Socialists think they'll con Iraqis to communism when its only other rival is barbaric Islamic theocracy, a clever idea. But unfortunately for the socialists it depends on Iraqis failing at democracy, and failing quickly.

I personally think it's too late for the Stalinists/Maoists that infest today's legacy media - Iraqis have already had their first elections and support a thriving free media of their own. Due to the latter, Iraqis know who the real enemies are - all the 'militants, insurgents, and freedom fighters' extolled in leftist western media. And of course leftist western media itself - left to think for themselves, no one can escape the logical conclusion that leftist media is just as big a threat to freedom as Islam. Even a culture supposedly 'incapable of Jeffersonian democracy' knows this, as leftist media loves to insulting refer to free Iraqis.

But the good news is that the web is slowly but surely making all legacy media obsolete, thank goodness. Looking forward to the day when the NYT has to be given away free on corners for lack of readership - Pinch is the worst of the leftist bunch.
